Parents & Students,
Here we are at the last full week of school. I was visiting with the kids today and we all discussed how fast this year has gone by. I have truly enjoyed getting to know all of the students, and I will always have a place for them in my heart. I also have all of you in my prayers as you tackle the new adventure of a different school. May God bless your summer holiday and the next school year!
Some other things we will be working on this week are:
Math- Probability & Measurement
Religion- King Asa, Elijah & Elijah and the Baal Prophets. The students are also working on creating a “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” game.
Memory- - None
Science- Gravity & Kinetic and Potential Energy
Social Studies- The making of a new nation We will finish up the Discovery Colonies.
English- Commas, apostrophes & quotation marks
We will also do a little diagramming of sentences.
Writing- We will finish working on the Write to Learn program.
Health- Communicable Diseases
Reading- We will finish our fables and work on reading some tall tales.
Computer- typing
Candy Store- None

5-16/18 Outlaw Ranch Students will return @ about 2 on Wednesday.
5-19 Dr. Anderson Scoliosis testing & presentation @ 1pm
5-20 Keystone Schoolhouse field trip
We will leave @ 11:30 & return @ about 2:45.

5-24 Watiki Fun Day
5-25 Last day of school dismiss @ 11:15
Fun Day- The 5th grade class has chosen to go to Watiki for their fun day. We will leave Zion at about 9:15 am and return by 2:45pm. The PTL will give each student $10 towards this trip. This will cover the cost of swimming. We will be eating at McDonald’s. Students will need to bring their own lunch money. If you are willing to come along, or drive, please let me know. For an adult to watch it is $4.95. For an adult to swim, it is $12.95.
Graduation Flowers- The altar flowers for graduation have been ordered. Each student will need to bring $5 to cover the cost of the flowers. This money needs to be here before graduation.
Lunches, Milks & Library Books
All overdue books and unpaid lunches and milks, tuition & math binder replacement material also need to be paid for by Tuesday, May 24. Thanks!!
Graduation- Students should meet in the board room between 6:30pm-6:40pm Monday, May 24. Students should wear dress clothes, but their clothes do not have to match our graduation colors of black and gold.
