Dear Parents and Students,
This week will be another busy week. We will spend 4 hours this week with the guest artist working on sculpting projects. We will also be preparing for the track meet on Friday.

Math-
We will continue to work with shapes, perimeter, area & probability. Binders are due on Tuesday!

English/Writing –Comparative Adverbs, & finding adverbs in our reading.
Spelling-We will work on spelling common words. We will also be looking at the spelling in our own writing.
Health-Healthy appearances and Regular examinations.
Reading- Character & Setting examinations The last Reading Logs are being sent home this week.
Computer- Keyboarding quiz. Do you know where the keys are? We will also finish our reading posters & Write to Learn essays.
P.E.- Preparation for the track meet on May 13.
Chapel- Chapel will be at 8:30.

Report Cards go home
Lunches, Milks & Library Books
All overdue books and unpaid lunches and milks also need to be paid for by Wednesday, May 25, in order for report cards to be sent home. Thanks!!
Graduation- Students should meet in the board room between 6:40pm-6:45pm Monday, May 23. Students should wear dress clothes, but their clothes do not have to match our graduation colors of black and gold.
Track Meet
The track meet will be on May 13. We will meet at the School of Mines track. The 1600 Meter race will begin at about 8:30 for both the boys and the girls. The rest of the races will start at about 9:00. The boys will run first this year. I am sending a schedule home today.
Skip Day/Fun Day
Our fun day will be on May 24. We are planning to go to Watiki and eat lunch at McDonalds. We will leave Zion at about 9:15am. The PTL provides $10 for each student to go on this trip. Watiki will be paid for, but each student will need to bring their own lunch money for McDonald’s. Thanks! If you are able to drive, please let me know.
Altar Flowers
Our class colors are black and gold. Mrs. Nankivel has volunteered to order the flowers for our class for graduation. Each student needs to bring $5 for this bouquet. Thanks1
Keystone School House
We will be going to the Keystone School House on May 20th. The cost is $2. Please bring your money by Thursday. We will leave Zion at about 11:30am. We will return to Zion by 3pm. If you are able to drive, please let me know.
Outlaw Ranch-
Our trip will be on May 16 – May 18. The cost per student is $76.00 ( Candy Store reduced the cost of the trip by $6 per student and paid the cost for four chaperones.) While we are at Outlaw Ranch we will be participating in hikes, team challenge activities, field games, water ecology and canoeing, horseback riding, and of course kitchen duty. I also sent home a health release form and contract. Please fill it out and send it back with the money for the trip. This must be turned in by May 12. Thanks!
We will leave Zion at about noon on Monday and return between 2pm& 3pm on Wednesday.
