Parents & Students,

            There will not be school on Friday, April 1, due to a teacher in-service day.  I hope you all had the chance to check out our class’s voice thread on alliterations.  You can Google voicethread.com, go to browse and enter the key word solinsky and it should come up.  The class did a great job doing this project!

Math- We will finish up this unit on adding and subtracting fractions. We will be starting a geometry unit next as well as doing some review from the year to get prepared for the Dakota Step Test.

Religion-  We will learn about the Pastor’s robes.  We will also make a coaster from a favorite Bible verse.  We will find out how Israel wants a king, and their first king.  We will also learn how David is chosen king.

Sanctification

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.  Amen

What does this mean?  I believe that I cannot by my own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ, my Lord, or come to Him; but the Holy Spirit has called me by the Gospel, enlightened me with His gifts, sanctified and kept me in the true faith.

In the same way He calls, gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian church on earth, and keeps it with Jesus Christ in one true faith.

In this Christian church He daily and richly forgives all my sins and the sins of all believers.

On the Last Day He will raise me and all the dead and give eternal life to me and all believers in Christ. 

This is most certainly true.

We will say this on March 31.

Science- We will continue to learn about the solar system.  We will learn about how much we would weigh on different planets and how old we would be on different planets.  

Social Studies-

Slavery in the colonies, colony economies and governments.  We will also learn about the French & Indian War.

English- We will be writing sniglets and starting a unit with prepositions.

Writing- Making our characters seem real

Spelling-

Health-  Choices that affect our growth & Adolescence

Reading- 

We will study plot in our literature circle books.  We will also review homonyms, antonyms and synonyms.

Computer-  We will be working with a graphing program to graph our science charts.  We will also continue to work on typing.
