Welcome to preschool! What an exciting adventure we are beginning with your child. Thank you for letting us to be a part of it. In order to get the most out of the preschool experience, make sure you READ THIS LETTER THOROUGHLY!  It will also be posted on our school website (www.zioncrusaders.org) if you’d rather do it that way.

A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we learn about when God made the world and plants, found in Genesis 1:1-31. We learn that God is good and blesses us with many good things. He gives us warm sunshine and plants to care for. Our Bible words are from Psalm 136:3, “Give thanks to the Lord.”
We begin the year looking at ourselves and our friends. On Tuesday and Thursday we will take a tour around the room and have time to make some play choices. We will play a name game where we say our names in different ways. We will also enjoy “Ring Around the Rosy” and “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.” We will begin music class with Mrs. Jensen this Thursday.
If your child is in daycare: We will have Chapel on Wednesday morning, led by Pastor Lindenberg, from Peace Lutheran. Our Chapel offerings for this month go to help support Main Street Living.

From the Teacher’s Desk:
*Sunday, Sept. 12 Sunday School Rally Sunday—we kick off the new school and Sunday school year by having Sunday school at 9:30AM, the children sing at the end of the 8AM service and the beginning of the 10:45AM service and then games and potluck lunch after church. If you do not have a church home, I encourage you to come and have fun with us. If you do have a church home, you’re sure welcome to join us, too! Families with last names beginning with A-L bring main dish and dessert, with M-Z names bring main dish and sides.
*September book orders are also in the folders. If you’d like to order, mark the form and make checks payable to Scholastic Book Clubs. If you want to order from both Firefly and HoneyBee, just combine the totals and make one check. Please have them back by Sept. 9. It usually takes about 2 weeks for the books to come.

Help Wanted:
I am looking for a mom or dad who has a PVC pipe cutter and would be willing to cut some pipes for us for a Pipe Construction Set for our classroom. If you or someone you know would be able to help us out, please let me know! Thanks!
