Bundle up! It’s going to be a cold rest of the week! We will not go out for recess if the wind chills are way down there.

This week in Jesus Time we learn about Jesus choosing the disciples, found in John 5:31-51. We learn that Jesus calls all of us to follow Him, no matter our age. If your child is in daycare, we will have Chapel on Wednesday afternoon, led by Mrs. Casey’s kindergarten class. Our Chapel offering for January goes to Bethesda Lutheran Home.
We will have one more “snowman” day before we move on to a little western stuff. We will continue with our cowboy/cowgirl theme as we get ready for the Stock Show on Thursday. We will paint horses on Tuesday and Mrs. Green will show us her horse tack and equipment. We’ll even get a chance to sit up on her saddle!
On Thursday we will be going to the Stock Show. Read below for more details.
We will go to the library on Tuesday.

FIELD TRIP! We will be visiting the Black Hills Stock Show on Thursday, Jan.31. We will be leaving at 8:45AM to go to the Event Center to see part of the Belle Classic Team Roping and then over to the Civic Center for our program and the petting zoo. If you can help drive us there and chaperone, please let me know by Tuesday, Jan. 29. Thanks in advance to all of our drivers.

Start saving your pennies! We will be starting a service project called Pennies for Patients this week where we try to collect as many pennies (and other coins) for the continuing research of childhood leukemia. You can start bringing in your pennies beginning this week and go up until Feb. 14. Our school goal is to raise $1,000 and the class that raises the most gets a pizza party!!
