May 24-26, 2010 Knowing Jesus, Growing in Faith, Serving God’s Children Dear Preschool parents, www.zioncrusaders.org
This is your last Monday Note for preschool! I can’t believe that the year has come to an end. Thank you for allowing me to teach your child this past year or for the last two years. It has been a joy to watch the change and growth in each one of them in all areas of their development. I pray that as your child leaves my classroom they will remember the most important lesson that I could ever teach them: that Jesus loves them and died and rose to be their Savior. Thanks for giving me this time with your child.
A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we will review some of the Bible stories that we have learned this year, the songs, and the Bible words.
Monday-We will be fitted for our graduation hats and practice a little bit for Wednesday’s graduation festivities.
Wednesday-We will have Chapel in the morning, led by Pastor Paepke, our interim pastor. Our Chapel offering this month goes to Bridges of Hope, which helps bring shelter and water to children in West Africa. Please plan on having your child to the preschool room by 8:15AM—BOTH CLASSES. We will sit together as a class for Chapel at 8:30AM and then proceed with our preschool and kindergarten graduations. We will have a cake reception after the graduations and then your child is free to go and begin summer vacation. We will have daycare until 11:15AM for those that need it, but everything dismisses then at 11:15AM. There will be no lunch or aftercare.

From the Teacher’s Desk:
*Please help your child keep up with their letters and numbers this summer as just a few minutes a day can really make a difference with the beginning of next year. If you need some ideas, go to our school website under the preschool tab and look at the summer activities tab for some age-appropriate ideas. Also, please involve your child in the public library’s summer reading program. You can get the reading logs at the library or on their website.
*Please make sure to take care of any lost library books or unpaid lunches by Wednesday. If your child has lunches or milks left, they will carry over to next year or you can get a refund. Just let Miss Nora or myself know!
Have a great week and a fantastic summer! Please feel free to call or email me anytime. Zion 342-5749 Cell 391-9046 email: devinandhope@hotmail.com
