May 10-14, 2010 Knowing Jesus, Growing in Faith, Serving God’s Children
Dear Preschool parents, www.zioncrusaders.org
I hope that all you moms had a blessed Mother’s Day! God sure blessed us with some beautiful weather on Sunday.
A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we learn that Jesus knows my name, found in Isaiah 43:1. We learn that Jesus knows all about us better than anyone else. He loves each of us individually. Our Bible words are from Isaiah 43:1, “[God says,] ‘I have called you by your name’.” (We are staying with our story from last week as I feel that it’s an important one!)
Tuesday-We will make some butterflies by painting one half of a page and then folding it over and pressing to make a symmetrical print on the other side. We will also learn about the characteristics of insects. We will also visit our school library to listen to a story. We will NOT be checking out any more books this school year. Please make sure that your child returns their book if they still have one checked out.
Thursday-We will insects out of egg cartons, complete with legs and antennae. We will also graph our favorite insects.
Books of the Week: The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle and The Ants Go Marching by Scholastic Books
From the Teacher’s Desk:
*There will be no preschool or daycare on Friday, May 14 due to the track meet.

*Tuesday, May 25 will be our last class day for this group. We will have daycare on May 26 until 11:15AM if you need it.
If your child is in daycare: We will have Chapel on Wednesday morning, led by Pastor Jones from Bethlehem Lutheran. Our Chapel offerings this month go to Bridges of Hope.
