I hope that you all remembered to move your clocks ahead this past weekend! It sure is nice to have the extra sunlight in the evenings.
A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we learn about Zacchaeus, found in Luke 19:1-10. We learn that Jesus loves us more than anyone else loves us; His loves moved Him to suffer and die in our place in order to pay the penalty for our sins. Our Bible words are from John 15:14, “[Jesus said,] ‘You are My friends.”
Tuesday-We will practice our cutting skills as we make some leprechaun ears to disguise ourselves with. We might also have a “visit” by those mischievous local leprechauns who just might have a hole in their pocket where they keep their gold coins! But don’t tell...it’s a surprise! I’m sure that you’ll hear all about it!  We will also visit our school library.
Thursday-We will begin exploring the season of spring by making some spring daffodils. We will also talk about the different signs that help us know that it is spring.

From the Teacher’s Desk:
*The picture forms that were in the folders last week are a new fundraiser that we’re trying. Fill out the little form, pick your background and bring back to school. We’ll take pictures on March 25 & 26 and then the company will send the pictures and you can pick the ones you want to keep. There is no obligation to buy, but everyone will get their picture taken.
*Preschool registration for 2010-2011 will open to Zion church and school families on Monday, March 22. The enrollment fee this year is $60. If your child will be returning, you can enroll for either the AM or PM class. Preschool registration will open to the community on Tuesday, April 6th. If you have any questions, please ask!
*PTL’s Children’s Clothing and Toy Consignment Sale is coming faster than you think! The sale will be on April 15-17. Friends and members of Zion are welcome to participate in the sale. It’s a great way to get rid of those small clothes and unused toys—make some money for yourself and the school. You can register with Miss Nora in the office during school hours or with me after school. Registration is $5 and gets you your first pack of tags and your info packet. Even if you don’t participate, come shop and get some great deals!
If your child is in daycare: We will have Chapel on Wednesday morning, led by Pastor Paepke, our interim pastor. Our Chapel offerings this month go to help support Jason Duley, one of our former students studying at the seminary to become a pastor.
