January 18-22, 2010 Knowing Jesus, Growing in Faith, Serving God’s Children
Dear Preschool parents, www.zioncrusaders.org
I hope that you had a good, little break. Did you realize that we are half way through our school year?
A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we learn about when Jesus was baptized, found in Matthew 3:13-17. We learn that God was pleased that Jesus was baptized for us; He is pleased to make us His children in baptism. Our Bible words are from Acts 22:16, ”Be baptized and wash your sins away.”
Tuesday-We will continue our themes of winter and snow. We will make ice rainbows as we pipe colored water onto crushed ice and see what happens. We will also begin a cryrogenics experiment—we will freeze 4 cups with water, liquid soap, pudding and honey. We will make some predictions on what will happen when we put the cups in the freezer. We will also visit our school library.
Thursday-We will get creative and fingerpaint a snowy scene. We will also pull our cryrogenics cups out of the freezer and see how our predictions held up.

From the Teacher’s Desk:
*Stock Show field trip! We will be going to visit the Stock Show and Rodeo on Thursday, Feb. 4th. We will need to leave school by 8:30AM and will return by 11:15AM for dismissal. If you would be able to help drive and hang out with us, please let me know!
If your child is in daycare: We will have Chapel on Wednesday morning led by Divine Shepherd’s Pastor Sturzenbecher. Our Chapel offerings this month go to the Water Project in Ghana, Africa.
Also, a heads up for Friday, Feb. 12—there will be no aftercare on that day as kindergarten through grade 5 will be having parent-teacher conferences that afternoon. Please remember that everything will dismiss at 3PM.
Please feel free to call me anytime with questions or concerns. Have a great week and don’t forget to say goodbye to Pastor Duley as this is his last week with us at Zion.
