This month is just flying by! November and December both seem to go by so quickly in preschool. We’re so busy getting ready for the holidays!
A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we learn about Elisha’s home, found in 2 Kings 4:8-10. We learn that God blesses us with our homes. Our Bible words are from Ephesians 4:32, “Be kind…to one another.”
Tuesday-We are off to a great start with our Christmas practice. We will be practicing each class time with the kindergarteners in order to really cement those songs and lines in our heads. We will finish up our coffee filter turkeys. We had fun last week coloring them with marker and then spraying them with water and watching the colors move! We will also visit our library on Tuesday, so bring those books back! Thanks for helping your child to be so responsible with that!
Thursday-We will make handprint turkey cards to bring home next week. We will also be practicing our Christmas service and learning a song about a turkey on a farm who is trying to hide on Thanksgiving day. We will also have a soft lockdown practice, just in case your child mentions something.

From the Teacher’s Desk:
*Zion will have a free H1N1 vaccine clinic on this Wednesday from 8AM to noon. Children up to age 18 and adults with infants at home or chronic health problems are eligible for vaccinations.
*There will be no school next Thursday or Friday, due to Thanksgiving. If you don’t have a church home of your own, we invite you to come and thank and praise our all-providing God on Wednesday night at 7PM or Thanksgiving Day at 10AM.
*Our Christmas service will be on Sunday, Dec. 6th at 4PM. This service will include both preschool and kindergarten. Come early to get a seat and don’t forget the camera!
If your child is in daycare: We will have Chapel on Wednesday morning, led by Pastor Jones from Bethlehem Lutheran. Our Chapel offerings for this month go to Alaska Mission for Christ.
