We’re back to a full week this week! If you can, please remember to send some food for our food drive challenge that we’re doing!

A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we learn about when Naaman was healed, found in 2 Kings 5:1-15. We learn that through God’s forgiving love in Jesus, He helps us to love other people, even when they don’t love us. Our Bible words for this week are from 1 Thessalonians 5:15, “Be kind to each other.”
Monday-We will do some marble painting and watch the 3rd part of our fire safety video about crawling low under smoke. Now would be a great time to practice what your family would do if there were ever a fire in your home. Where would you meet? Practice with your children so they will know what to do in that scary situation.

Wednesday-We will have chapel in the morning, led by Pastor Lindenberg from Peace Lutheran. This month our Chapel offering goes to help our local Meals on Wheels program. The afternoon class will have Jesus Time in our room with Pastor Chris. We will be going to the school library to check out books. We will be working with Letter Ee. Please help your child bring something that begins with letter Ee on Wednesday.

Friday-WE WILL GET OUR PICTURES TAKEN TODAY! Please feel free to turn in order envelopes anytime this week. If you are not ordering pictures, you can still purchase a school year book for $5 in the spring. We will have centers that include sorting upper- and lowercase letters and a fire safety game to practice counting and one-to-one correspondence. We will watch the last part of our fire safety video, about things that are safe for play and things to keep away from.

From the Teacher’s Desk:
*The parent-teacher conference forms are due Wednesday. You will get your official time next Monday. There will be no preschool on Thursday or Friday, Nov. 5 & 6. There will be preschool daycare and before care on Thursday from 7:00-11:15AM, but nothing after 11:15AM or on Friday.
*FIELD TRIP! We will be visiting our neighborhood fire station, Station 6, next Wednesday, Oct. 28. The morning class will leave at 9:55AM and the afternoon class will leave at 1:55PM. If you would be able to help drive, please let me know!
*We don’t have Halloween parties during school or wear our costumes, but we do invite you to come to our Trunk or Treat on Oct. 31 from 5-8PM. There will be games, activities and lots of candy. If you know that you’ll be coming, could you please donate one bag of candy for each child in the front office? That way we’ll have enough to bless everyone with!
