Happy Holy Week! Finally, a shortened week that we had already planned for! Remember that there will be no school and daycare from this Thursday to next Monday.
A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we learn about when Jesus died and rose, found in Matthew 27:32-28:6 and John 20:11-18. Our Bible words come from 1 Corinthians 15:3, “Christ died for our sins.”
Tuesday- We will paint some “magic” pictures that show us the real reason for Easter. We will also go on an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt around our building to some important places and people. We will also get to check out books from the library!
Thursday-No school or daycare – Maundy Thursday
If your child is in daycare-
Wednesday-We will have Chapel in the morning, led by our Pastor Duley. Our Chapel offerings this month go to LAMP (Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots).

From the Teacher’s Desk:
*We will have Easter break next week, beginning on Thursday, April 9th to Monday, April 13th. School and daycare will resume on Tuesday, April 14th. If you don’t have a church home, please feel free to come and worship with us—Maundy Thursday 10AM and 7PM; Good Friday 10AM and 7PM; Saturday 5:30PM; Easter Sunday 6:00, 8:00 and 10:45AM.
*Zion’s Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, April 11th at 10AM. Kids up to 5th grade are welcome to participate. We ask that you bring at least a dozen filled eggs or eggs and candy for each child participating in the hunt. There is a box in the front office to place the eggs in.
*Zion’s Children’s Consignment Sale will be Friday and Saturday, April 17 & 18. Three dollars will get you into the early bird sale Friday night 5-7PM or come on Saturday from 7:30-1PM.
