What an exciting week in front of us! Saint Patrick’s Day and the first day of spring all in the same week! And only 9 more weeks of school left…
A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we learn about when Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, found in John 13:1-17. We learn that Jesus helps us serve one another in love as He served and loved us, even to death on the cross. Our Bible words come from John 15:12: “[Jesus said,] ‘Love each other as I have loved you.’”
Monday-We’ll have some fun practicing our cutting as we turn your little one into a wee leprechaun! We will also play a game called “the silent shamrock,” where I hide a shamrock somewhere in sight in the room and your child is supposed to return to the carpet silently when they see it. It’s a very hard thing not to give it away!
Wednesday-We have Chapel in the morning at 8:30AM, led by Pastor Paepke from Bethlehem Lutheran. Our Chapel offering this month goes to help support one of our former students, Jason Duley, who is studying at the seminary to become a pastor. We will visit our school library to check out books, if the old ones are brought back. We will also work with Letter Uu. Please help your child bring something that begins with Letter Uu. There will also be a fire drill in the afternoon, in case your child says anything.
Friday-We will have centers that include a color and pattern matching game, making different shapes on geoboards, and sorting pictures based on beginning letter sounds. We will also complete an alphabet that has missing letters.

*You are invited for a fantastic presentation by Brian Young, from the Creation Institute, on Wednesday, March 25 at Bethlehem Lutheran at 7PM. If you’ve ever wondered how to defend our creation beliefs to a scientific world, come and hear Brian explain it from a Biblical perspective. He will also be at Calvary Baptist at 9:30AM the same day, speaking with the combined 3rd-5th grade students.
