A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we learn about the widow’s offering, found in Mark 12:41-44. We learn that God helps us to celebrate His love for us when we give our gifts and offerings to Him. Our Bible words are from 2 Corinthians 9:7, “God loves a cheerful giver.”
Monday-We have some fun combining blue and yellow to make green. We will talk about the shamrock with leaves for God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We will also complete a lowercase letter dot-to-dot of a shamrock. We will look at a real shamrock plant we have in our classroom.
Wednesday-We will have Chapel in the afternoon at 2:15PM, led by our 2nd grade class. Our Chapel offerings this month go to help support Jason Duley as he studies at the seminary to become a pastor. Jason is our Pastor Duley’s youngest son. We will also be visiting our school library to check out books—bring back those old books if you didn’t return them last week. We will be working with letter Tt this week. Please help your child bring something that begins with letter Tt.
Friday-We will have centers that include alphabet concentration, a game where we look for patterns and textures and a letter Tt search. We will also be learning some thinks about Ireland. We will also have kindergarten screening on Friday. Please make sure to stop in the board room to see Mrs. Sayles and make your first payment.

*We have more of the “God is Great” CDs available for purchase for $6. See Miss Nora in the office to purchase them.
*Registration for the Children’s Clothing and Toy Consignment Sale has begun. The sale will be April 17 & 18. Members and friends of Zion are welcome to participate. Please see me or Miss Nora to register and get your tags!
*Preschool registration will begin next Monday, March 16. If you have a younger child or have friends who are interested, please call or see me to get an enrollment form and tuition info!
*Keep up the reading for Book-It Beginners! We’re off to a great start. Feel free to grab more crayon pages whenever you need them.
