Happy Valentine’s week! I hope that you remember that God would rather give up His only Son than spend eternity without you.

A Peek at the Week:
This week in Jesus Time we learn about when Jesus taught about birds and flowers, found in Luke 12:22-32. We learn that Jesus loves and cares for us and provides for all our needs, both physical and spiritual. We can thank Him for His love. Our Bible verse is “[God] cares for you,” from 1 Peter 5:7.
Tuesday-We will be making some love bugs on our valentine bags. We will also be putting hearts with the numbers 1-10 in the correct order. We will also visit our school library to check out new books.
Thursday-We will be making a special valentine to bring home to you. Our Valentine party will begin at 10AM. We will have ice cream sundaes, make some heart hats, and then pass out our valentines to our friends.
If your child is in daycare:
Wednesday-We will have Chapel in the morning, led by Pastor Lindenberg from Peace Lutheran Church. Our Chapel offering for February goes to Zion’s Food Bank. Your child can bring either money or non-perishable food.

From the Teacher’s Desk:
**This is our last week for the Pennies for Patients program. As of Monday, we were $200 short of the $1650 goal—one that would make teachers have to wear moustaches for a day! Our final goal is $2,000. Thanks so much for your generosity!
*There will be NO AFTERCARE on FRIDAY, FEB. 13th. Grades K-5 dismiss at 11:15AM due to parent-teacher conferences (preschool has them in March). We will have enrichment up to 3PM, but there will be no afterschool care (3-5:30PM) that day! ALSO, no school or daycare on Monday, Feb. 16.
*The February book orders are in the folders and need to be back by Thursday if you want to order. Make checks to “Scholastic Book Clubs.”
