I am still in awe about how many grandparents and special guests that we had last Wednesday! Thank you for sharing Zion with your family. I pray that you all had a wonderful, grateful Thanksgiving celebration and had a chance to enjoy each other’s company. But don’t totally relax yet, as this is a big week for preschool and kindergarten!
Remember that our Christmas service, “This Is the Stable Where Jesus Was Born,” will be on this coming Sunday, Dec. 7th at 4PM. Your children are asked to wear their nice “church” or Christmas clothes for the service. Please have your child to the preschool room by 3:45PM on Sunday and it would be a good idea to make sure that your child has used the restroom first. Come early to get a good seat and don’t forget the camera!

This week in Jesus Time we learn about when Jesus was born, found in Luke 2:1-7, 19. We learn that God cares for us so much that He sent Jesus to save all people from their sins. We will also be lighting our 2nd Advent candle on Wednesday, the candle of peace.
On Monday we will be doing some free paint Christmas pictures. We will also be practicing for our Christmas service very hard, adding the risers this week.
On Wednesday, please help your child bring something that begins with the Letter Ii to school. Letter Ii is a little bit tricky, so try to be creative, dig out those dictionaries and look for something great! We will also visit our school library on Wednesday.
On Friday we will have centers that include a listening center of “This Is the Stable” and making a Christmas countdown where your child can remove one chain link a day until they get to the manger and star on Christmas Day.

The November book orders arrived last week. Please see me if you ordered. We will not be doing a December book order as I do not think that we’ll have enough time for them to get here. Please remember that your child will need to have a book for the book exchange for the Christmas party on Friday, December 19.

Just a reminder that the Kids’ Kraft Kamp is this Saturday, Dec. 6 from 1-4PM if you’ve signed up and the Sunday School Christmas service practice is also on Saturday from 9:30-11AM.
