This is the last preschool Monday Note that you will receive! It has been amazing how fast the year has gone and how much each of your children has grown in his or her own way. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to be a part of that!
This week in Jesus Time we learn about Timothy, found in Acts 16:1-5; Timothy 1:1-5; 3:14-17. We learn that God gives us family and friends to love and care for. We thank God for our family and friends. We will attend a piano recital on Wednesday morning. We will have Chapel on Friday morning, led by Pastor Duley. Pastor Lockie will be coming to do one last Jesus Time with the PM class on Wednesday afternoon, as he couldn’t make it last week due to a congregation member’s funeral. Our Chapel offering for May goes to the Boys’ Ranch.
On Monday we will be going on our last field trip to Eileen’s Colossal Cookies. Hopefully you all enjoyed them after the plays last Wednesday night. The AM class will be leaving at 9:15AM and the PM class will be leaving at 1:15PM. We will be back to the school by our regular dismissal times.
On Wednesday we will be having some fun as our 3rd grade Chapel buddies come over to play some games and read with us. We will also have Library on Wednesday. We are not checking out any more books. All books need to be returned to the library by Wednesday! If you’ve happened to lose the book, we will need $5 to help replace it.
On Friday we invite you to come worship with us one more time this school year in Chapel at 8:30AM. BOTH morning and afternoon preschool classes will need to be here by 8:30AM. We will all go to Chapel as a class and then the preschool and kindergarten graduations will follow. Your child will receive their preschool certificate and a necklace that they made. Don’t forget your camera! We will then have a cake reception in the lunch room and your child is free to begin their summer vacation. We will have daycare until 11:15AM for those who need to stay a bit longer. All school grades and daycare will then dismiss at 11:15AM for summer vacation.
Leftover milks and lunches can be carried over to next fall or you can be reimbursed. Just let the lunch ladies, Mrs. Green or myself know!
Save Tuesday, May 20 on your calendars for the PTL End of the Year picnic at 6PM at the old Storybook Island. You will want to head down Canyon Lake Road and turn at the Rapid City Parks Dept. building, right across the road from Sioux San. You’ll head down the road a little until you get to the parking lot and picnic shelter. They are asking everyone to bring a main dish and a salad or dessert to share. Plates, utensils, and drinks will be provided. And it sounds like we’ll have some pretty good weather! We’ve had really cold, rainy weather the last few years!
Make sure to come back for our Vacation Bible School! It will be June 2-6 from 9AM to noon and it’s free! Your child is also welcome to bring their friends. Registration forms can be found on the little table beside the wish tree just inside the front doors.

I pray that you have a great week! Thanks again for allowing me the privilege to teach your child this year. Each one is so special and I pray that they leave my class knowing just how special they are to our Heavenly Father. God’s blessings on your summer and best wishes for a great kindergarten year! Don’t forget to make the turn to stop in and say hi every once in a while!
