Wow! I hope that you all weathered the blizzard and snow day well! We were without power for a few hours and it was starting to get a bit chilly in our house, but then it cmae back on. God was taking care! We’re down to our last 3 weeks of school now.

This week in Jesus Time we learn about Paul’s conversion, found in Acts 9:1-22. We learn that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus, who forgives our sins and gives us work to do for Him. We will have Chapel on Wednesday morning, led by our Pastor Lockie. Our Chapel offering for May goes to the Boys’ Ranch.
On Monday we will finish up our salt dough insects by coloring them and adding wings. We will also begin practicing for our play.
On Wednesday we will be playing a game called ABC Race where the kids have to identify the letters as fast as I call them out. We’ll see what our fastest time to get all the way through the alphabet will be! We will also have Library on Wednesday. This will be the last week to check out library books!
On Friday we will be doing centers that include painting our handprints on the lunch room windows (a Zion tradition for our graduates) and a game in which we sort and group pictures based on their beginning sounds. We will also practice for our preschool plays.

We got 7 out of 12 chickens to hatch last week! Hopefully you all got to stop in and see them for a minute! The 3 year old class will take them back to Old MacDonald’s Farm on Thursday this week.

The preschool classes will each be putting on a short play on Wednesday, May 14 at 7PM. The morning class’s play is “Hetty Hackett’s Farm” and the afternoon class’s play is “Grumpy Bear.” We will do the plays and then have a small snack. Don’t forget your cameras and don’t be late or you’ll miss them!

Save Tuesday, May 20 on your calendars for the PTL End of the Year picnic at 6PM at the old Storybook Island. If you’re not sure where that’s at, just ask!

Mark your calendars now for preschool graduation! Our last day will be on Friday, May 23. We will have Chapel at 8:30AM and then the preschool and kindergarten graduations will follow after that. We will have a cake reception and then your child is free to begin their summer vacation! Grandparents and friends are welcome to come and don’t forget your camera! We will have daycare until 11:15AM for those that need to stay. The whole school then dismisses at 11:15AM for summer vacation.

Make sure to get your child registered for our Vacation Bible School! It will be June 2-6 from 9AM to noon and it’s free! Your child is also welcome to bring their friends. Registration forms can be found on the information desk right outside the front office.
