Here we are…down to the last 4 weeks of school! These few weeks will go by even faster than the rest of the year seemed to!

This week in Jesus Time we learn that Jesus promises to be with us, found in Matthew 28:20. We learn that Jesus is with us as we learn and play. He is with us always, everywhere. If your child is in daycare, we will have Chapel on Wednesday morning, led by Pastor Sturzenbecher from our sister church Divine Shepherd. Our last Chapel offering for April goes to the Rapid City Food Bank, so food offerings are great, too! We will also have a lockdown drill on Monday.
On Tuesday we will make our own “flowery” snacks of biscuits made to look like sunflowers with some peach preserves. We will also begin working on some paper plate sunflowers. We be doing the cutting and painting on Tuesday. We will also go to the library on Tuesday.
On Thursday we finish our sunflowers by gluing on a stem and some sunflower seeds to the middle. We will also have some fun with May Day and make some May Day baskets to deliver to the other classrooms. We have so much fun knocking on the doors and then running back to our own classroom! We will also have Music on Thursday.

You guys are awesome! We had a total of 782 cut-outs turned in during our two months of Book-It Beginners! What a great job you did reading with your children! They will be receiving their last pizza coupon on Tuesday. Enjoy that pizza for a job well done!

Our chicken eggs will (pray really hard!) begin hatching sometime this week! We’ll keep them for a few days before we take them back to Old MacDonald’s Farm. I will call early this week to set something up and I’ll let you know!

Make sure to mark your calendar! There will be no preschool or daycare on Friday, May 16, due to the school track meet!

Save Tuesday, May 20 on your calendars for the PTL End of the Year picnic at 6PM at the old Storybook Island. If you’re not sure where that’s at, just ask!

Our last day of class will be on Thursday, May 22. We will have daycare on Friday, May 23 for our regular daycare kids that need it, but everything dismisses at 11:15AM on Friday, May 23 for summer vacation!
