Wow! Do you realize that we only have 12 more classes left in this school year for these little guys? These last weeks will just fly by!

This week in Jesus Time we learn about Timothy, found in 2 Timothy 1:5 and 3:15. We learn that God has made us members of his family by faith. He has placed people in our lives to tell us the Good News of His love and salvation through His Son, Jesus. If your child is in daycare, we will have Chapel on Wednesday morning, led by our Mr. Sagissor. Our Chapel offerings for April go to the Rapid City Food Bank, so food offerings are great, too!
On Tuesday we will switch gears a little and begin learning about plants and seeds. We will find out what a plant needs to survive and plant our own zinnia seeds. We will also go to the library on Tuesday.
On Thursday we will make bluebell flowers out of egg cartons. We will also begin an experiment of what will happen if we give one plant sun and water and not water or give light to another plant. We’ll take a look at the two plants next Tuesday. We will also have Music on Thursday.

Have you noticed how full our hallway is getting with the Book-It Beginners cut-outs? You guys are doing a fantastic job of reading with your children and getting those cut-outs turned back in! We have only 2 weeks left and then your child will receive their last pizza coupon! Great job!

Our chicken eggs are still eggs. It takes about 21 days to chicken eggs to hatch, so that should put us right around the end of the month. We will arrange a field trip after they hatch to take them back home to Old MacDonald’s Farm.

Zion’s PTL Children’s Clothing and Toy Consignment Sale will be this Thursday and Friday, April 18 & 19. The sale will be open Friday from 7:30AM to 4:30PM and on Saturday from 8AM to 12noon. Saturday is our half-price sale! Please come and check it out, maybe pick up some great clothes for your kids and make sure to tell your friends and family!

Make sure to mark your calendar! There will be no preschool or daycare on Friday, May 16, due to the school track meet!
