Mar. 24-28, 2008 Knowing Jesus, Growing in Faith, Serving God’s Children
Dear Preschool parents (Tue/Thurs), www.zioncrusaders.org
I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter celebration! I watched “The Passion of Christ” for the first time during Holy Week and boy, if that ever helped to solidify in my heart the sacrifice that Jesus made.
This week in Jesus Time we learn about Easter, found in John 20. We will celebrate that Jesus is alive. If your child is in daycare, we will have Chapel on Wednesday morning, led by Pastor Lockie. Our chapel offering for March is going to one of our church members attending the seminary to become a pastor, Matt Ulmer.
On Tuesday we will be starting to add some signs of spring to our room by making muffin-liner daffodils. We will also talk about the different signs of spring. We will have Library on Tuesday.
On Thursday we will some raindrops to hang from the ceiling as we learn “April showers bring May flowers.” We will also be finishing up our spring assessment before conferences on Friday. We will also have Music and fire drill.
There will also by no preschool or daycare on Friday, March 28 because of our parent-teacher conferences.
Keep reading! Our hallway is looking really great with all those cut-outs. There is a stack of cut-outs by the phone in the preschool room. Feel free to grab as many as you need!
Zion’s PTL Children’s Clothing and Toy Consignment Sale will be on April 18 & 19. We are now registering people who would like to participate in the sale. You take home 70% of your items that sell and the school gets 30%. It’s a great way to get rid of some of those extra, outgrown clothes and toys that you might have around the house and make some extra money for both you and the school. Registration is $5 and you get your first pack of tags and a time to sign up for your shift. Friends of Zion are welcome to participate, too, so let your friends know. See either Nora in the office or myself to register.
I am now accepting preschool enrollments for 2008-2009 school year from our school and church families. If you would like to re-enroll your child for next year, please ask for an enrollment form and handbook. Registration will open up to the community on Mar. 31, so you will want to get your spot while you can. I need the enrollment form and $50 to reserve your child a spot.
I pray that you have a great week! Please feel free to call my anytime with questions or concerns.
