Thank you to everyone who went with us on Monday to the Stock Show. The AM class had their beef program with another preschool and they had a hard time letting the presenter tell us her information, they kept talking so much themselves! The presenter pulled me aside later and said that they were probably going to stop doing preschool programs at the Stock Show, but that our kids are always so well behaved that I could still call and she would squeeze Zion preschool in! What a great witness even 4 & 5 year olds can be!

This week in Jesus Time we learn about the story of the forgiving father (or the prodigal son), found in Luke 15:11-24. We learn that we sin, but God never stops loving us. His love brings us back to Him. We will have Chapel on Wednesday morning, led by our Pastor Lockie. Our chapel offering for February is going to Zion Food Bank.
On Monday we will be making Valentine snowflake wreaths and be estimating how many conversation hearts will fit into a heart space.
On Wednesday we will work with the Letter Pp. Please help your child bring something that begins with Letter Pp. We will also have Library on Wednesday.
On Friday we will have some Valentine centers and some more color graphing with conversations hearts.
I will be gone on Friday morning as I go to visit Rapid City Christian with my 5th grader.

We have had a lot of sickness going through preschool and the school. Last week a third of the children were gone from each class. If your child is running a fever or just not acting like themselves, please keep them home. We’ve had a plethera of ear infections, strep throat and also influenza A and B.

This Friday is a PTL Family Fellowship night at the Swim Center from 6:30-8PM. Come and join us for some splashing good fun!

Bring in your pennies! We are working on a new service project called Pennies for Patients where we try to collect as many pennies (and other coins) for the continuing research of childhood leukemia. Our goal is to raise $1,000 and you can check out our progress in the hallway by the 5th grade classroom.

We will be having our Valentine party on Wednesday, Feb. 13. If you could help out in any way, please let me know! We will begin at 10AM for the AM class and 1:45PM for the PM class.
We will have preschool and preschool daycare like normal on Friday, Feb. 15. However, kindergarten through grade 5 will be off for parent-teacher conferences. Preschool will have spring conferences in March. There will be no school or daycare on Monday, Feb. 18 for everyone.
