Wow! Hang onto your children this morning…WINDY!!!
We will begin our week by going to the Stock Show on Monday.

This week in Jesus Time we learn about when Jesus blesses the children, found in Mark 10:13-16. We learn that Jesus welcomes all people to Himself to love and bless. We will have Chapel on Wednesday afternoon, led by Mrs. Casey’s kindergarten class. Our chapel offering for January is going to Bethesda Lutheran Home.
On Wednesday we will work on Letter Oo. Please help your child bring something that begins with Oo to school on Wednesday. We will also have Library on Wednesday.
On Friday we are going to shift gears from cowboys to Groundhog’s day, since it’s on Saturday. We will begin doing some groundhog and shadow things in our centers on Friday.

FIELD TRIP! We will be taking a field trip to the Black Hills Stock Show on Monday, Jan. 28. The morning class will be leaving the school at 9AM and going to the Event Center to see part of the Fort Dodge Ranch Horse Competition and then over to the Civic Center for our program and the petting zoo. The afternoon class will leave at 12:15PM to go to the Civic Center for our program, petting zoo and then to see part of the North American Sheepdog Trials. Thanks in advance to all the parents and adults who are able to come with us!

Start saving your pennies! We will be starting a new mission called Pennies for Patients where we try to collect as many pennies (and other coins) for the continuing research of childhood leukemia. We will have a short celebration assembly to kick-off the beginning of our fundraiser. You can start bringing in your pennies this week and go up until Feb. 14.

I will send home a class list on Monday in case you want to start working on Valentines. If your child has the interest and the ability, go ahead and have them sign their name on the cards! It’s great practice for those little hands!!
