Dec. 10-14, 2007 Knowing Jesus, Growing in Faith, Serving God’s Children
Dear Preschool parents (MWF), www.zioncrusaders.org
This is actually the night! The Preschool-Kindergarten Program will be TONIGHT at 7PM.
The children need to be in the preschool room between 6:30-6:45PM.
This week in Jesus Time we learn about when the angels told the shepherds that Jesus was born, found in Luke 2:8-14. We learn that the news of Jesus’ birth was so important that God sent angels to announce His coming to the shepherds. Jesus was born to save all people. We will be watching a segment of the cartoon movie “The Nativity” this week to help us experience Jesus’ birth, too. We will not have Chapel this week as the big kids are attending the Advent services. Our chapel offering for December is going to help Pastor Utecht and his ministry on the reservation. There are flyers in the hallway with offering ideas or money is always welcome, too.
Our letter of the week is Letter Jj. Please help your child bring something that begins with Jj to school on Wednesday. We will also have Library on Wednesday. Please help your child to bring their book back in order to get a new one. This will be our last week of Library, I believe. We will not check out books next week.
We are also working hard on some surprises for our parents’ Christmas gifts.
The December book orders are here! We’ll get them to you probably on Wednesday.
The second Advent service will be on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at both 10AM and 7PM. Please come join us and prepare your hearts for Jesus’ coming.
Our Grade 1-5 Christmas Service will be on Thursday, Dec. 13 at 6:45PM. You are invited to come and listen as the children share the Christmas news in “Christmas at Bethlehem Gulch.”
If you’re looking for something fun to do on Friday night, come and see Angel Dean in concert here at Zion at 7:30PM! He’s a rising Christian musician and actually the uncle of one of our 5th graders.
Our Christmas parties will be on Friday, Dec. 21 at 10AM and 1:45PM. Each child will need to bring one wrapped book for our book exchange. You do NOT need to put names on the books. That will also be our last day of class and daycare until Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008.
I pray God’s richest blessings on your week. Please feel free to call my anytime with questions or concerns.
