Nov. 26-30, 2007 Knowing Jesus, Growing in Faith, Serving God’s Children
Dear Preschool parents (MWF), www.zioncrusaders.org
I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. We have so much to be thankful for!
This week in Jesus Time we learn about when God got ready to send the Savior, found in Luke 1:5-25, 57-80. We learn that God kept His promise to send a messenger who would prepare people to receive His Son as their Savior from sin. God also keeps His promises to us. We will have chapel on Wednesday at 8:30AM, led by our Pastor Lockie. Pastor Duley will visit the PM class for Jesus Time on Wednesday. Our chapel offerings this month go to Rapid City’s Meals on Wheels.
We are working really hard on our songs and finger plays for our Christmas service, “Angel, Angel.” We have practice everyday now with every class. This usually takes up about 30-40 minutes of our school day. Our Christmas service will be on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7PM.
Our letter of the week is Letter Hh. Please help your child bring something that begins with Hh to school on Wednesday. We will also have Library on Wednesday. Please help your child to bring their book back in order to get a new one.
We will begin to get ready for Advent this week with some Christmas decorations and games.
The December book orders are due this week, so that I can make sure that they are here before we leave for break. We do a book exchange during a Christmas party and the book orders are a great place to find quality books at little prices!
If you are interested, the church will be Christmas caroling to our shut-ins on Sunday, Dec. 2. There will be a soup lunch after the 10:45 AM service and then they will break into groups and go spread Christmas cheer!
The first Advent service will be on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at both 10AM and 7PM. Please come join us and prepare your hearts for Jesus’ coming.
Mark your calendars now! The Preschool-Kindergarten Christmas Service will be on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7PM. We will be doing an adaptation of the book “Brown Bear, Brown Bear,” called “Angel, Angel.” Remember to bring those cameras!
The Kids’ Craft Camp will be on Saturday, Dec. 8. There will be more information on this in the coming week.
I pray God’s richest blessings on your week. Please feel free to call my anytime with questions or concerns.
