Now thank we all our God! Here we are at Thanksgiving week and what blessings God has given to us! Each of your children is such a blessing!

This will be a SHORT week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. There will be no preschool or daycare from 11:15AM on Wednesday through Friday, Nov. 23. Classes and daycare will resume on Monday, November 26.
This week in Jesus Time we will watch a Veggie Tale movie about thankfulness. When we come back from Thanksgiving break, we will jump into the New Testament and begin learning about the Christmas story.
We will be learning about the first Thanksgiving and the Legend of the Five Kernels of Corn. The children will be bringing home the legend with 5 kernels of corn. It would be a great story to share at your Thanksgiving dinner.
We will have Grandparents’ Day on Wednesday, Nov. 21. If you don’t have grandparents in the area, please feel free to invite special friends or come yourselves. The PM class is welcome to come in the morning or just start the Thanksgiving break early. We will all go to Chapel together at 8:30AM and then the preschool and kindergarten will stay in the church to perform some songs and poems for our guests. We will then have some snacks in the lunch room and then your children are excused to begin the break. We will have daycare until 11:15AM for those that need it. School and daycare will resume on Monday, Nov. 26.

The Parade of Lights is on Saturday, Nov. 24 in downtown Rapid City. It usually begins around 6PM. Zion will have a float in the parade and a youth band playing on it! Bundle up, though! It is usually really cold just in time for the parade!

Mark your calendars! The Preschool-Kindergarten Christmas Service will be on Thursday, December 6 at 7PM. Grandparents and friends are welcome to come! Your children will be angels in the service. They will wear garland halos and just need to wear “church” clothes for the service! We’ve been practicing hard!

We will be putting the December book orders in the folders next week so that I can get them ordered and here before our Christmas break. These book orders are a great way to get a good quality, cheap book for our book exchange that we do for our Christmas parties!
If you would be able to help out or bring some special snacks or crafts supplies, please let me know!
