Nov. 12-16, 2007 Knowing Jesus, Growing in Faith, Serving God’s Children
Dear Preschool parents (Tues./Thurs.), www.zioncrusaders.org
Here we are to our holidays countdown! It seems like after Halloween we just rush straight through to the new year! So hang on and read these notes completely.
This week in Jesus Time we learn about David and Jonathan, found in We learn that God gives us the blessings of friends to love and care for us and helps us to love and care for them.
On Tuesday we will be making some Indian corn with our fingertips. We will be telling things that we are thankful for. We will also continue our Christmas program practice with the kindergarteners. We will visit our school library on Tuesday. Please help your child remember to bring their book back.
On Thursday we will have Music class with Mrs. Skoog. We will make handband turkeys and play a game called “Turkey, Turkey, Where’s Your Feather?” We played this game last week and the preschoolers begged to do it again!
Daycare kids will go to Chapel on Wednesday afternoon, led by our 4th grade class. Our Chapel offering this month goes to Rapid City’s Meals on Wheels program, who sound like they could use some extra help with gas prices going up.
Nov. 16 will be the PTL Family Swim Night at the Roosevelt pool from 6:30-8PM. It’s fun to be all together in the water with our school families!
Zion’s Craft Fair will be on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 8AM-2PM. Come and do some early Christmas shopping and get some homemade goodies from the bake sale!
There will be no preschool or daycare on Thursday or Friday, Nov. 22 & 23 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Classes and daycare will resume on Monday, Nov. 26. If you don’t have a church home of your own, I invite you to come and thank our God at 10AM on Thursday.
Mark your calendars now! The Preschool-Kindergarten Christmas Service will be on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7PM. We will be doing an adaptation of the book “Brown Bear, Brown Bear,” called “Angel, Angel.” Remember to bring those cameras!
I pray God’s richest blessings on your week. Please feel free to call my anytime with questions or concerns.
