Knowing Jesus, Growing in Faith, Serving God’s Children
Dear Preschool parents (MWF), www.zioncrusaders.org
I hope that you had a great weekend. It is feeling more like fall every day!
This week in Jesus Time we learn about when Naaman was healed, found in Joshua 5:13-6:20. We learn that God is with us to help us with our problems, especially our sin problem. He gives us the victory over sin through Jesus. We will have Chapel on Wednesday at 8:30AM, led by Pastor Paepke from Bethlehem Lutheran. Our Chapel offering this month goes to help out Care-Net Pregnancy Center. Your child is welcome to bring money or baby supplies for offering this month.
This Monday we will be visiting the fire station. Thank you for all the drivers! It is wonderful so have such help!
We will be beginning to learn about pumpkins this week. We will learn about the pumpkins life cycle, from seed to pumpkin. We will look at the sequential steps of how to make a jack-o-lantern. We need 2 pumpkins! If you would be willing to donate a pumpkin for us to use on Friday, please let me know!
Our letter of the week is Letter Dd. Please help your child bring something that begins with Dd to school on Wednesday. We will also have Library on Wednesday. Please help your child to bring their book back.
Parent-teacher conference times are in the folders. Miss Nora tried hard to get you into the time you requested. The conferences usually last about 15 minutes and you will see some fall assessment that we have been doing during class time. If your scheduled time will not work, please see me so that we can reschedule.
We will have 10 spots available for morning daycare on Thursday, Nov. 1. Kindergarten through grade 5 have class until 11:15AM and then classes and daycare will all dismiss at 11:15AM on Thursday, Nov. 1. There is no class or daycare on Friday, Nov. 2.
The All Saints’ Gathering is coming! This is Zion’s alternative to trick-or-treating. There will be fun and games and lots of candy here at Zion on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5-8PM. Friends are welcome to come, too! We are asking that you bring one bag of candy for each child you are bringing, so that there is lots of candy for all!
The teachers are also running the Creation Cake Walk, so if you’re a baker we would appreciate any donations of cakes or cupcakes! Thanks!
I pray God’s richest blessings on your week. Please feel free to call my anytime with questions or concerns.
