Dear Preschool parents (MWF),

I hope that you all had a wonderful couple of days off. I had a great preschool conference in Pierre and the weather was beautiful, too. You can’t ask for more than that! Our next days off will be on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 1 & 2 for parent-teacher conferences.

This week in Jesus Time we learn about Samuel, found in 1 Samuel 1 & 3. We learn that God gave us Jesus to save us. He gives us other people to love and to help us. We can praise God as He helps us show love to them. We will have Chapel on Wednesday morning at 8:30AM, led by Mr. Sagissor with the help of Miss Nora’s puppets. Our Chapel offering this month goes to the Care-Net Pregnancy Center here in Rapid City. Use the little offering envelopes, if you like, or your child is also welcome to bring baby supplies.
We continue with Letter Bb when we come back on Wednesday. Please help your child bring something that begins with Letter Bb. I will also have something extra in case anyone forgets and amazingly God made lots of different body parts that begin with different alphabet letters! We will also have Library on Wednesday.
We will continue to learn about fire safety on Friday. We will watch a little more of our video on stop, drop, and roll. This is a good time to talk with your kids about exit strategies out of your house if there was ever a fire. Make sure that everyone knows where they are to meet once they get out of the house. It’s good to practice a few times, too! Having practiced can help to take some of the scariness out of it.

We will be going on a field trip to the main fire department on Monday, Oct. 22. Please see the sign-up forms for drivers in the folders. Please check either way and return so I know how many drivers to expect.

REMINDER: The pick-up date for the cookie dough is THIS Friday, Oct. 12 from 2:30-5PM in the gym. If you cannot pickup your dough, please make arrangements with a friend or something. We don’t have enough extra freezer space to store dough. Thanks for helping us out with this first fundraiser!

School pictures will be here on Friday, Oct. 19. Order forms for pictures are in the folders. You do not have to orders pictures, but your child’s picture will be taken for the class composites and the memory book. You are welcome to stay that morning if you are concerned about your child smiling nice. If you can’t, please just hand the payment envelope to either Mrs. Green or me and we’ll make sure that hair is combed and everything’s just right.
