Dear preschool parents (Tues./Thurs.),
Thank you to everyone who came for our 50th anniversary celebration. We had so many people at the 10:45AM service that we had to set up extra chairs in the church! It was awesome and the kids sang their little hearts out!
This week in Jesus Time we learn about when Jacob and Rachel had a baby, found in Genesis 30:22-24. We learn that Jesus loves us with the greatest love possible and gives us parents and others to love us and take care of us.
We will begin learning about fire safety this week. October is Fire Safety Awareness month. We will be watching different parts of a fire safety video called “Play Safe! Be Safe!” We will be watching the segment called “My Friend, the Firefighter” this week. It shows us the different type of clothing and equipment a firefighter uses and stresses that firefighters are there to help.
We will have Library on Tuesday. Please help your child remember to bring their book back to school in order to check out another.
If your child is in daycare, we will have Chapel on Wednesday afternoon at 2:15PM, led by our 5th grade class. Our Chapel offering this month goes to the Care-Net Pregnancy Center here in Rapid City. Use the little envelopes for offering, if you want.
The lunch menu orders are in the folders of the daycare kids. If your child is going to eat hot lunch next week, please indicate which days and return by WEDNESDAY. Thanks!
REMINDER: Cookie dough orders are due on Monday, Oct. 1. If you bring them Tuesday, that’s fine, too. The pick-up date for the dough is Friday, Oct. 12 in the gym. If you cannot pickup your dough, please make arrangements with a friend or something. We don’t have enough extra freezer space to store dough. Thanks for helping us out with this first fundraiser!
THIS HAPPENS THIS WEEK! There will be no preschool classes on Thursday and Friday, October 4 & 5. We will have daycare on Thursday, Oct. 4 from 7AM UNTIL 11:15AM. The rest of the school dismisses at 11:15AM and so will daycare. There will be no lunch served. I have 5 spots left for care on Thursday morning. There will be no preschool or daycare on Monday, Oct. 8 due to Native American Day. We’ll see you on Tuesday, Oct. 9th!
The October book orders are due on Tuesday. If you are going to order, please fill out the form and make your check to “Scholastic Book Clubs.” The books usually arrive in a couple of weeks.
