Summer Projects
Dear Future Fifth Graders and Parents:
Here a few things you might want to work on this summer to help you make a great start for fifth grade in the fall.
1. Keep working on your multiplications facts. The better you know these facts, the easier math class will be for you next year. I am also sending home a math calendar for July and August. If you get time, try some of these ideas.
Here are a couple of websites for math games:
www.aplusmath.com/games/index.html
www.coolmath-games.com/
www.funbrain.com/
2. Keep reading. The Rapid City Library’s reading program would be a great way to do this.
** I would like for you all to pick one book off this list to read over the summer.
** After reading the book, choose one of these attached projects to complete. When these projects are turned in during the first week of school next year, there will be a prize.
I am looking forward to having each of you in my class next year! Have a great summer!
