Religion	Memory Work
*The Family of Adam *The Family of God *The Flood	Memory work will be said this Friday. It is the first 5 books of the Old Testament and Genesis 1:1. Genesis1:1  In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. O.T. Books Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy **Many students already know this. If so, they are welcome to memorize the next 5 books of the Old Testament. J

The first spelling test is Sept. 9th.     *Word observations *Word of the week--favorite	No computer this week.   ***PE notice: Students do need a second pair of indoor shoes to be worn at PE class only (with no black soles or shoes that leave skid marks.) It is also great to have that extra pair that stays at school for rainy, wet days. Thank you!

The first test will not be until Sept.9th. The words and homework will be sent home in your child’s homework folder Sept. 3rd. I will have the words in the Monday note next Monday. Spelling tests will be every two weeks instead of every week. We will be doing word study lessons in between tests.

This month our offerings go to Main Street Living. (see note in Monday folder for details) Our chapel speaker is Pastor  Lindenberg.

Study hall is available to students in grades 3-5 on Fridays from 3:00-4:00. Students do not have an option to fail or not complete work and receive zeroes. Students who do not complete work or students who are consistently late with homework assignments will be asked to come to our weekly study hall. Parents will be notified if their child needs to attend. If you have further questions or concerns please contact Mrs. Vogel.

*You are invited to join us each Sunday for our 8:00 Worship Service or 10:45 Praise Service each Sunday. There is also a weekly church service on Sat. nights at 5:30. Sunday School is Sundays at 9:30 beginning Sept. 12th. Sept. 12th is Rally Sunday. We will be having  “All School Sings” at both services that day. *New volunteer in-service this Friday at 8:30 a.m. *No school Sept. 6th  (Labor Day) *Community rate classes for those who need to attend will be offered Sept. 1st at 6:oop.m. or Sept. 4th at 9:00 a.m. This is for new families. Child care is available. *Young Rembrandts begins this week. More info. on green sheet in Monday folder.
