Religion	Memory Work
Parents are welcome to join us Wednesday morning at 8:30 for our chapel service with Pastor Bill.   *Creation (Genesis1:1-2:3) *The Fall into Sin (Genesis 3)	There is no memory work this week. However, if you would like to begin next weeks it is the first 5 books of the Old Testament and Genesis 1:1. Genesis1:1  In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. O.T. Books Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy *Memory work will be said or written on Fridays each week.*

We will be celebrating our summer reading. Please have all reading bingo sheets here by Friday.	We will be completing several “Getting to Know You” activities and practicing classroom/school rules and procedures.
Spelling	Computer
There is no spelling test this week or next week. The first test is Sept. 9th. Words will be given Sept. 3rd to study.	No computer this week.       ***PE begins this Friday. Students do need a pair of indoor shoes to be worn at PE class only with no black soles or shoes that leave skid marks.***

The first test will not be until Sept.9th. The words and homework will be sent home in your child’s homework folder Sept. 3rd.

Study hall is available to students in grades 3-5 on Fridays from 3:00-4:00. Students do not have an option to fail or not complete work and receive zeroes. Students who do not complete work or students  who are consistently late with homework assignments will be asked to come to our weekly study hall. Parents will be notified if their child needs to attend. If you have further questions or concerns please contact Mrs. Vogel.

*You are invited to join us each Sunday for our 8:00 Worship Service or 10:45 Praise Service each Sunday. There is also a weekly church service on Sat. nights at 5:30. Sunday School is Sundays at 9:30 beginning Sept. 12th. RALLY SUNDAY is Sept 12th. We will be having an “All School Sings” at both services. *Wednesday night classes begin Sept. 8th at 6 p.m for those who want to attend.  *Preschool begins Aug. 30th. *Community rate classes for those who need to attend will be offered Sept. 1st at 6:00 pm or Sept. 4th at 9:00 a.m. Child care is available. *There is a NEW volunteer inservice Sept. 3rd at 8:30 a.m. *Teacher Re-dedication is at both services Sept. 29th. There is a call mtg. for a new pastor at noon that day, also.
